Peter Marcuse (born November 13, 1928 in Berlin) is a German-American lawyer and professor emeritus of urban planning.〔http://www.arch.columbia.edu/about/people/pm35columbiaedu Retrieved January 29, 2013〕 Marcuse holds a JD from Yale Law School (1952) and a PhD from UC Berkeley in City and Regional Planning (1972). He was a professor of urban planning at UCLA from 1972 until 1975 and at Columbia University from 1975 to 2003.
